A threatening statement related to a bomb was found at Sun Prairie High
School on December 4, 2008. After consultation with law enforcement, it was
determined to cancel classes at Sun Prairie High School on December 5, 2008
to provide time for a thorough investigation and comprehensive search of the
facility. When apprehended, the perpetrator of the threat will be
recommended for expulsion as well as be subject to criminal sanctions.
Anyone who may have information regarding this threat is encouraged to
contact the high school principal (834-6717) or the Sun Prairie Police
(837-7336) as soon as possible. The high school administration is working
on a plan for students to make up the time lost due to this closure.
The Sun Prairie Alternative Learning Center and all other schools will
remain open on December 5 as usual.
